Navajo Necklace Craft
We have been playing catch up on some crafts. This week we finished our Navajo Necklace. This project idea came from History Pockets.
I used food coloring to dye the macaroni noodles. They are suppose to be the color of turquoise instead they came out black.
I prepared the indented pendant last summer when I was preparing for this unit. The kids loved it. Even though it was rough with the stringing.
Bug was pretty proud of her accomplishment.
Little Man was pretty frustrated as he informed me, "that next time I need to us straight noodles." Good advice from my son. It was kinda tricky with the elbow macaroni.
Mission accomplished with Mom's help.
