My Thoughts:

This is the first book by Barbara Cameron that I have read. I wasn’t disappointed either. She had a way of grabbing my attention from the first page to the last. In some ways it was a bit different from other Amish writers. It still had the Christian values, charm, and all around intriguing story plot.

Elizabeth was an interesting character that at first I wasn’t sure I would like. She seemed to cold and closed up. Then when she starts opening up you can’t help but, to feel for her and cheer her on. Her English roommate Paula was fun and added so much to this novel. In a way it almost seemed out of place in an Amish novel. 

As for Saul I liked his humor and personality. He was my favorite character in this story.

I didn’t like how the story ended as I wished it gave a little bit more and at least jumped into the future a bit more when they start there new life together. Overall this was a good story that I enjoyed.
