The Holy Reads App Review

I love to read books but unfortunately these days I find it harder to find time to read. I always prioritize my Bible reading while everything else starts piling up. My husband and I tend to get a lot of books from others who want us to read a book and see what we think. @holyreads_app @frontgatem

The Holy Reads app was launched in December 2022 by a former Ukrainian pastor Michael Yurchuk. He wanted to see Christian books in a summary format for bestselling Christian books and classical spiritual books. The authors are well-known ones like C.S. Lewis, Max Lucado, Beth Moore, John MacArthur, Lee Storbel, and many more authors. There are over 1,000 book summaries already in the collection with new ones added to Holy Reads weekly. Other perks are daily devotions, small group packets for home groups, or Bible Studies.

Finding books is easy with the layout. You can look by topic. There are twenty-three categories. Just to name a few topics: discipleship, Bible studies, theology, parenting, women, men, and personal finances are just a few of the twenty-three categories. There is something for everyone women, men, and teens.

You can access the program on your computer or through Google Play or Apple Store on a device. None of the Holy Reads summaries are produced by AI.

Each of the book summaries has three formats: text, audiobook, and video. You can highlight, underline, and take notes in each book summary.

The audiobooks are my favorite format. The recording quality is good and the voices are nice. Some audiobooks sound like a robot but Holy Reads put a lot of thought into the voice recordings.

The video summaries are all animated and get to the point quickly with the book.  They are nothing overly fancy and are concise summaries that easily capture the context of the book.

The Text format is just that a few pages of the book are summarized in a concise overview of the book. You can look at a section overview while listening to the audio. Take notes, and highlight sections. You can also change the font size, font, and background color.

You can sign up for a free 10-day trial to see if it is a good fit for you. With the free trial, you get all the features you would have with a full membership. You can sign up for your free trial: https://bit.ly/HolyReadsBloggers

You have an option to do a monthly subscription for $4.99 or a one-year subscription for $49.99 one-month subscription to Holy Reads costs only $4.99. And a one-year subscription. $1 out of every $4.99 goes directly to supporting the women and children in Ukraine who are refugees of the Ukraine-Russia war.

I looked up several books that I had previously read in the past. I think that the summaries do a decent job of getting the key points across in the book. Does it cover every point in the books? No, not everything can be touched on in less than 20 minutes. For my schedule, this is nice to have an overview. If the book perks my attention, then I can decide whether or not to purchase the book.
