After All: A Hanover Falls Series by Deborah Raney
May 26, 2012
This is my first time I have read any books by author Deborah Raney. This is the third book in this series. I haven't read the first two in the series. I was still able to follow along in the story without reading the first two books. I enjoyed this book a lot and will have to read the first two books in the series.
After twenty-some years of marriage,Susan thinks she knows all there is to know about her late husband. She soon learns there are secrets to be uncovered about her late husband. Things start to unravel when there are mysteries surrounding the fire, an unknown stalker, and a grown son whose life is a mess and getting worst by the day.
Susan runs a homeless shelter and ran it when the fire happened. After losing the homeless shelter, she also lost her husband who was a firefighter. Eighteen months later, a new homeless shelter is up and running but some people in town are opposed to the shelter. Susan finds herself needing assistance from Peter Brennan, the fire chief of Hanover Fall's, who worked with Susan's husband.
My thoughts:
I love a story that is so realistic, and believable. The author's writing is amazing and you couldn't help but to care about the character's. I loved the cast of character's in this book. They seem so real and are living in the real world.
Lots of suspense and twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. Christian fiction at it's best with putting God in the character's lives. You could see the spiritual growth of the character's and how He worked in their lives and painted a beautiful picture of God's forgiveness.
I have found a new author and I look forward to reading all of her books.
This book has been provided to me my by Glass Road free of charge and in no way was I asked to give a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
