My Thoughts:

In second book in the series, we pick up right where book one (A Season for Tending) left off. As Rhoda, Samuel, Jacob, Leah, and the others prepare to move to Maine after a tornado destroyed Kings Orchard. The troubles follow them to Maine.

I was actually pretty hooked from the beginning of this story. I liked it much better as than the first book as the characters really came out in this book. The plot in this story was intriguing as all the issues with Jacob, Samuel, Leah, and Rhoda start to come to light.

I can’t decide who I like better for Rhoda-Jacob or Samuel. Jacob and Samuel both are so different and yet they have qualities that outshine the other. I think though I am leaning towards Samuel. I like that he is truly putting it in God’s hands and not his own.

I enjoyed this book. It's well written, and it has me dying to know how the story will end in the next book.
