Solar Powered Fountain Unboxing and Review

Solar Powered Birdbath Fountain Pump - Upgraded 1.5W Solar-Powered Small Floating Water Fountain Pump Kit for Garden/Backyard/Yard Bird Bath.

I’m intrigued with all the solar powered garden fixtures out on the market. I don’t have to worry about electricity or batteries. Just the sun rays. I’m excited to share with you the Solar Powered Birdbath Fountian Pump from ALIENGT that I received.

This is a nice size fountain to fit in a birdbath its diameter is approximately 6 ¾”. The shape reminds me of a flower with lots of petals. It’s a black color disc. The top part of the fountain looks like some type of thin plastic. It looks and feels durable. Around the base of the panel there are 14 different lined solar panels. There is a silver circle around the base which, I’m assuming is some sort of enhancer to capture or attract the sun rays.  I think that portion stands out to me because doing some science experiments with my kids we had to have something like aluminum foil for the solar rays. In the center is the fountain head knob.

Underneath the solar panel disc there is a ½” foam that is lightweight and dense. The pump is attached in the center underneath the fountain. According to the vendor this has been upgraded. The fountains will start after 3 seconds being in the sun. The pump will not run if it has no sun or if your water supply is depleted. Which is nice to know because my first thought was is the motorized pump going to burn out if I forget to fill up my birdbath.

There is a mesh bag to help keep out debris in the pump. I would assume that you will occasionally want to take a hose to the mesh bag to prevent it from getting clogged.  On the pump there are suction cups to keep the fountain in place. Or you can just let it float around.

This fountain came with 4 different fountain attachments. Each of the attachments has a different pattern.  The more intensity of sunlight will determine the spray height of the fountain. Something I didn’t realize in my un-boxing video is that you don’t need the longer attachment to attach the fountain heads if you want the fountain to be a tad lower. The attachments snap on easily.

In my video I gave the fountain a 7 out of 10 rating. To be fair to the vendor we have had horrible weather in the Midwest with lots of rain that doesn’t want to let up. However, we did have a few hours with 90+ temperature and no clouds. The fountain worked nicely and kept an even flow as it advertises it will.  We haven’t had a nice day since with full sun. That being said I’m adjusting my rating to 8 out of 10.

I thought this Solar Fountain Pump would look nice in my birdbath and provide circulation which helps to create oxygen. It's fun and looks nice in the birdbath when your walking up to the house.

This is a nice touch for a small pond or birdbath. Location is essential in placement of the fountain.
