God’s Good News: More Than 60 Bible Stories & Devotions by Billy Graham Book Review & Giveaway
November 19, 2018
Billy Graham remains one of the foremost pastors in
America's history, and parents, grandparents, pastors, teachers, and more will
want this lovely edition of God's Good News for the children in their life to
show them the way to the cross and to help them begin a lifetime of following
Christ.
God's Good News is a collection of more than 60 favorite Bible stories told in actual Bible text from the New King James Version, including Noah, Joseph, Moses, David, Jesus, and the disciples, and each story is equipped with a takeaway devotion from Rev. Graham. The takeaways will help children focus on God’s Word, apply it to their lives, and begin walking with God and sharing the good news from an early age. The striking artwork from Scott Wakefield will help children connect with the timeless Bible stories and messages from Rev. Graham. "Christianity is good news. . . . When we open up the Bible, it is good news from cover to cover. It's the good news that God loves us." —Billy Graham

I’ve read a lot of Bible story books and devotional for kids. I have to say that this is the most impressive one that I have seen in years. Usually most Bible story books for kids have a lot of the words changed to simplify it for kids. Some are good and some make me cringe. This one uses the actual Bible text and I was so excited to see this as this is the first one I have ever came across that reads from the Bible text. The words are perfect for the intended age of 4 through 11. I love it that we don’t have to water down the text as our kids understand so much more than we give them credit for.
After each of the 60 Bible stories is the devotional portion from Rev. Billy Graham. His words are perfect for the intended Bible story and he has scripture references within the devotion
.
Rev. Billy Graham doesn’t water down the word and his words are life changing just like the many stories we read in the Bible.
This is fully illustrated and full color. Each story has beautiful illustrations to capture your kids while reading. The illustrations are full page throughout.
I just can’t say enough good things about God’s Good News: More Than 60 Bible Stories & Devotions by Billy Graham.
I absolutely love this book and highly recommend it. It’s the best one I’ve seen and read.
