CSB Explorer Bible for Kids Book Review and Giveaway

My Thoughts:

I’m always on the lookout for new kids' Bibles. They make the best gifts and God’s word is essential for them. The new CSB Explorer Bible for Kids from Holman is pretty impressive.

The Bible is available in hardcover and in four different Leathertouch styles. The lever is for grades 1 through 6^th grade.

The Bible has an introduction page for each book of the Bible. It highlights key points about the time period, who wrote the book, the audience the book was written to, why it was written, and Christ in Context. The Christ in Context connects Jesus and how it points towards our Savior and other information.

There are other components like Exploring Creation that highlights facts and also images that show you modern objects and things that are in our modern time to God and the Bible. They are 115 in teal boxes throughout the Bible.

Another area that has always found interesting is Excavating the Past. It highlights archaeological and historical discoveries. You can find 205 of them in green boxes. You can look them up also in the Table in front of your Bible.

Other study tools include: Discovering the Truth, Character Field Guides, Charting History, and Archiving Discoveries. You can download activity pages using QR Codes throughout.

In the back of the Bible, you will see some familiar things that most adult Bibles have. It seems that several children’s Bibles have taken out some of these features. I was delighted to see: A Table of Weights and Measures, an Explorer Glossary, and Index of Bible Stories, separated by Old Testament and New Testament. Topical

Concordance, QR Code that links scriptures, and Maps.

This is a full-colored Bible with many illustrations and photos throughout.

The CSB Explorer Bible for Kids is a wonderful Bible for the age recommendation. I do think older kids would enjoy the depth and resources in this Bible. It has a lot of opportunities to help kids want to dig deeper into God’s word. There is nothing in the Bible that I find concerning. Many children's Bibles lately have been watered down and have in my opinion missed the mark in giving the Word of God and changing too much to appeal to kids.
