You are Loved Journal and Scripture Cards Review and Giveaway
In a noisy world where we’re constantly bombarded by negative messages, the You Are Loved Collection delivers a much-needed dose of encouragement and soul-affirming messages from God’s heart to yours. Beautiful floral images set the background for the 4x4 Scripture Card Set, featuring affirmations and scriptures from God’s Word for each week of the year. A matching Scripture Writing Journal complements the card set, with room to write scriptures and affirmations along with space to reflect and record daily thoughts.
My Thoughts:
Life can be so complicated these days. Somedays the demands can be overwhelming. Honestly, I don’t know how I’d do it if it wasn’t for God’s Word to help me through each day. I love my time in the morning after my husband goes to work and the kids are still sleeping to read God’s word. No distractions and it’s a fresh start of a new day.
I am not one who journals and usually when I’m at a service I do better listening than writing things down. I seem to focus better on what is being said rather than keeping up with notes. I actually get a bit envious when others do such a beautiful job of doing both and they can read their own handwriting.
When I study alone, I may mark up or add a few verses to my Bible. It’s not that I don’t want to journal it has just never been my style. I read and tend to put things to memory and work them out that way.
You Are Loved Journal and Scripture Cards were presented to me I was intrigued because I love writing scripture down to help commit it to my memory. Everything is in one beautiful book to keep the scriptures in one place to reflect on throughout the year. The book is set up for a complete year of writing 52 scripture verses down. Each week is a two-page process. The pages are lined for you. It’s simple gray tones with a beautiful border around each page. There is ample room for writing for those of us who tend to write big.
On one side you write down the scripture verse that is assigned for each week. The pages correspond with the Scripture Cards. You could use the journal without the Scripture Cards as the scripture verse is written down for each week.
On the opposite page, you have “Reflection and Prayer for Today”, you have a spot to write down the date. I love that it isn’t dated. If you skip a week or two you don’t have a glaring reminder that you forgot to do it!
You could write down prayers or just reflect your thoughts on the scripture. You can add to it throughout the week.
The Scripture Cards are lovely-all 52 of them have a different colorful floral design on the front of the card. The front of the card corresponds to each week in the book. The card front has a saying: You Are Loved, You Are Adopted, and You Are Saved by Grace. When you open your journal, you will see that “saying” and the connection with the scripture. The theme or word of the scripture is slanted and in cursive while the rest of the scripture has a print font.
You could use the book without the cards but I recommend the cards. The cards are handy to help you memorize the scripture. You could put them in a place each week to memorize the verse. Hang it on your refrigerator or on your work desk. You can go back and review the scriptures too. All the cards are NIV but you could use your own version also. If I could change anything it would be to have a sleeve to put the cards in or something to keep them all together.
This is a lovely set. I love the simplicity of the journal and scripture cards. Nothing complicated and it’s straightforward. You can make it fit your style of journaling.
For the month of April and May you can get a 30% off discount code—BLOG30. There are several other items you can add to the You Are Loved Journal and Scripture Cards.
