A Rush of Wings by Kristen Heitzmann
November 15, 2010
A Rush of Wings by Kristen Heitzmann is a Christian fiction book that deals with lots of suspense and romance. This is the first book I have read by this practical author.
Noelle St. Claire comes from a wealthy family from New York. She flees the comfort of her father’s estate after her fiancé abuses her. Not knowing where she will go she ends up in a small mountain community in Colorado. She ends up at a horse ranch that rents out cabins. The owner of the ranch Rick Spencer, is a man who deeply loves the Lord. Morgan Spencer the brother is staying at the ranch for the summer for some relaxation.
Morgan is handsome and charming. Except he doesn’t share the same morals as his brother. Morgan has his sights set on Noelle. Both brothers are curious about this allusive women who is not telling them much about why she is there at the ranch. Noelle finds her self having flash backs after the abuse of her fiancé. Dealing with panic attacks and fear. Not knowing that when she was a child she had blocked out the memory of her being kidnapped. She is assuming that her former fiancé did some horrible unspeakable things to her.
This is a fast paced novel with lots of suspense. The characters are well developed and each one with a personally that are quite complex and different from each other. It is not a novel that is predictable and I was surprised several times while reading the book. I look forward to reading the next one in the series.
This book has been provided to me my by Bethany House Publisher free of charge and in no way was I asked to give a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
