Week in Review-Week #12-2012-2013
November 19, 2012
As you can see it is Monday and I am posting last weeks school. Yep, another busy week for us.
We are in Sonlight Core D week #12
We have been in the book of Shemoth which is the book of Exodus. The Israelites just crossed the Red Sea. We are also doing some studies from," Proverbs People".
We are reading,
"Johnny Tremain" by Ester Forbes, "If you were at the..The First Thanksgiving" by Anne Kamma, and "Corn is Maize" by Aliki
For our poetry, "A Child's Introduction To Poetry" by Michael Driscoll and" Dancing Teepee"s, by Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve.
The rest of the week I am just going to show a few pictures.
We also had a field trip to our local EMS station. The kids learned many things. What is inside an Ambulance, and the EMS station. Of course they noticed it looked like a mini hotel. Then they learned about calling 911 and what happens when they go to help someone.
Bug got a little tired standing and decided to plop on the floor.

Scripture Memory this week:
Joshua 1:9, Psalms 31:24, and Exodus 10:11.
I recently had someone ask me why so many memory verses. Each kid has two verses-one verse is from Shabbat school class(they are in separate classes) and the other one is our home verse. I admit this is harder for the kids. I have taken the home verse often and did it over a few weeks to help them remember scriptures.

This craft went along with our book, "Corn is Maize"
Bug had some kernels fall on the ground for the birds. I think they had fun with the Elmer's glue also!
