Awesome Science Explore John Day Fossil Beds with Noah Justice DVD and study guide
February 15, 2013
Traveling is even better when you discover the
evidence of biblical history and truth along the way. Hosted by 14-year-old
homeschooler Noah Justice, his fresh approach to science and the Bible will get
children more excited about the truth with each episode of Awesome Science.
My Thoughts:
My family is always excited to watch the
Awesome Science series. This is an amazing series with a Biblical Worldview
that will support the evidence of the flood.
The kids feel like they had a virtual field
trip visiting the John Day Fossil Beds in northeastern Oregon. The sights are
amazing. Seeing the large range of plant and animal fossils is exciting.
I would highly recommend this series if you
are interested in teaching your children a Biblical view of science without
dealing with evolution.
I was given the study guide to look
through and review. I would say this is more suited for older kids/teens. I
also feel that you can adjust it easily enough for younger kids without too
much hassle. The study guide that accompanies the DVD includes word lists, key
concepts, Fill in the blank section, true and false section, and a Biblical
study guide and much more. The questions are centered on the movie and the
guide is well thought out and a good companion for the DVD series.
My only
complaint is the size of the book. As a homeschooler with many books I would
have loved to see a larger book so it doesn't get lost in my books or I would
love for it to fit inside the video DVD case. That is minor complaint compared
to the quality of this production. That’s just what happens when you have books
all over your house. The DVD is $14.99 and the Study Guide $3.99.
Consider watching the other DVDs are available
in the Awesome Science series. You won’t be disappointed.
