My Thoughts:
Today, I’m going to tell you about a journaling
Bible for teen girls. The design on this Bible is appealing and should be to
most teen girls. It’s a hardback Bible with an imitation leather cover. The
cover has a shimmering gold background with a flower design on it. The flowers
are beautiful pastel colors like two tones of pink, orange and greens. The
flowers look like roses. The outside is stunning. I already know the most important
part is the inside the cover as it contains the word of God and it’s pretty
amazing!
The gilding on the Bible is pink. The ribbon is
a darker pink color. I hope you like pink! The headings are also pink. The
scripture guide words at the top of the Bible are also pink. The words of Jesus
are also in pink! The Bible looks more mature then most Bibles for this age
group I have seen. If that makes sense! Its classy looking and most teens
wouldn’t need to transition to a more adult version Bible as it doesn’t look
childish. Actually, I think this Bible could be appealing to grownups.
The font is nice and the 8-point print size is
easy to read. The Bible does lay out flat when you have it open. The Bible has
a presentation page along with an index at the front of the Bible. None of the
books have an introduction page. At the back there is a Table of Weights and
Measures and a Subject Index.
The format is a single column with the margins
on the edges of the pages. The margin is a decent size for adding notes or for
adding your own art if you like to do that. The page thickness seems a bit
thicker than most average Bibles. However, it will bleed through with some
medians.
Throughout the Bible there are 465 “Thought
Provoking” questions and all in pink.
My only complaint is that it doesn’t have maps
or an introduction at the beginning of each book! This is a full size Bible and
no maps or introductions! So maybe I’m old school and like the maps and freshening
my memory on the historical background of each book.
Overall, this is a lovely Bible that I think it
should appeal to many teens. A few other color choices would be nice if you
have teen who isn’t so thrilled with the color pink-like a blue or green. I did see one other color
choices available and it has a different cover design. The gilding looks white but, the inside looks the same.
