The Real Skinny On Losing It by Michelle McKinney Hammond

The Real Skinny On Losing It by Michelle McKinney Hammond
This is my first book that I have read on weight lose. They don’t usually catch my attention. What caught my attention to review this book? It looked like it would be funny and I needed to laugh a bit with the whole weight lose thing.

Michelle seems to have a unique and often funny way of explaining how women see their struggles of losing weight. She shares her story and all the different programs she has tried herself. Then she ties bits and pieces of the good of each program and applies them to her journey and what has worked for her. She is very practical on her advice. She covers many things like attitude, heart, spiritual fitness, and dealing with your inner conflict in a light hearted way. At the end of each chapter she has a section for Keeping it real and Diva reflections. Which sums up each chapter.

Overall, I enjoyed the funny approach she begins with in the first few chapters. Then she gets more serious (still funny) encouraged healthy eating and exercise. Nothing unrealistic in what she says. The book includes some recipes at the end.

Tyndale House Publishers has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book. In no way was I asked to give a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
