Communion is an important aspect to many congregations. It doesn’t matter what your denomination is. Some do it weekly, monthly or once a year.

World Cup Communion has different packages available to fit yours needs. You can get them with grape juice or even wine. Another option is to order only the juice or just the bread alone.  Or both of them  together. You can order smaller quantities for a small gathering or larger for a congregation. The smaller bags is a great new addition for this company. 

The concord juice and bread is tightly sealed. The seal was easy to pull off. The seal was made for elderly and young alike to pull off the seal without any hassle. They also created the seal to be silent when removing.  The bread is baked at their facility and is baked fresh.  There are options like unleavened, wheat, and even gluten-free. They also have wheat wafers. All the packaging is disposable. They have a 180 day shelf life in a cool and dry place. The company says that you can even freeze them up to a year.

The cups come in a variety to meet your needs. I received three 25 cup bags: Chalice Cups, Elements Cups, and Simply Cups.

Chalice Cups look like little chalices. The chalice is a clear plastic. The bottom of the stem has a piece of unleavened bread tucked inside.

Simply Cups are clear plastic cups with the unleavened bread sealed at the bottom. Nothing fancy with the cups.

Elements Cups are just the concord grape juice in a clear plastic container.

Throughout the years I have prepared cups for communion, Havdalah, and breaking bread for Shabbat at a congregation. Putting juice or wine into the small cups is a mess despite your best effort to keep from spilling. Even with all the gadgets it still tends to be messy. Not to mention when you pass out the cups all the spills while waiting for everyone to get theirs. Then your rushing to get new cups for the spilled ones!

I tried some of the prefilled Communion Cups from World Communion Cups, it sure is convenient and easy to use. I was impressed with it being user-friendly and the quality of the product. The juice was good and the bread tasted fresh and not stale. The biggest take away I had with these was the ease. Everything is prepared from the concord juice to the bread. This would be very practical for a large gathering-not to mention convenient!

This is very practical  for home or hospital visits also. Sometimes I only have a large bottle of grape juice and you have to rush off to a nursing home or hospital because someone is wanting to do communion or have your break bread with them for Shabbat at the hospital. So your find yourself carrying a large bottle of juice and bread in a bag. World Cup Communion would be perfect for this setting. Small Bible studies both in your home or at another person’s home.

There are so many Bibles out on the market and you can find just about anything to fit your niche. The most important aspect is that it’s the living Word of God within the pages despite your preference.

The Bible is stunning and beautiful. I love that it looks classy and elegant on the outside and inside. The LeatherLike cover is soft and comes in a variety of colors.  I happen to have the Olive Branch Green color. Which greens in this tone tend to be my favorite color. Other colors include a sky blue, pink petals, camel,  gold dust, and other colors to choose from.

The New Living Translation is and easy translation for many to understand for both young and old. I have came to the conclusion that the translation isn’t as important as someone being able to understand and read God’s word is what matters.  

 

The Filament feature is very practical study tool. You can scan the pages to access devotionals, maps, worship music, videos, and other content throughout the Bible. The Adventure Bible has been a stable in my home throughout the years. We used it when we taught children’s ministry also. The Bible has always been a favorite for kids and parents alike. Its full colored throughout and has engaging points throughout. I love that it is a good transition into an adult Bible. It has the layout that you find in adult Bibles and many of the tools.

Having a child who struggles with reading the NIV has been easy for her to understand and read. It has an introduction with an overview of the book and points out some key stories in the book. Dictionary and concordances in the back of the Bible. Full colored maps too.

Other features included like: Life in Bible Times – What was life like in ancient days? Words to Treasure- Scripture verses to memorize. Did You Know? -Interesting facts on God’s Word. Like the footnotes you see in and adult Bible that ties scripture together or gives you a bit more information on a section you are reading. I really like the Adventure Bible Guide. It walks through every book of the Bible. Its packed with information on each book of the Bible. Each book has two pages. It highlights significant events and people. It had several fun and interesting facts like photos of artifacts, map of locations and illustrations that make the Bible events come alive. It also breaks down important things as a Believer in Jesus. There is also a colorful timeline.

Adventure Bible Guide is a great tool to use with the Adventure Bible. What a great way to teach your kids the importance of studying the Word of God.

I have had the privilege to look over many Bibles throughout the years. I was very impressed with the NKJV Encountering God Study Bible.

This is a beautiful black Leathersoft Bible. The edges of the Bible have the gold gilding. The paper is your standard Bible page thickness. The font is the Comfort Print® and a 9-point font. The Bible lays out nicely when it is opened. The Bible has two different colored ribbon bookmarkers attached inside the Bible. The Bible is available in Genuine Leather, Hardback, and an eBook version. The colors are black or Brown and you can also get the Bible with thumb indexes.  This Bible as far as I can tell is only in the NKJV translation.

There is an introduction page for the books of the Bible. The words of Jesus are in red. The pages are laid out in two columns with scripture references in the middle of the page. The study notes are on the bottom section of the pages.

The notes at the bottom of the pages are very practical and not heavy on theology. Scattered throughout the Bible you have different boxes and other features in the Bible. Some features include- Encountering Notes, Explanatory Notes, Historical Encounters, Character Studies, Word Studies, Word Studies, Encountering a Creative God, Explaining the Faith, How to Study the Bible, In-text Bible maps, Timelines, Harmony of the Gospel, Read through the Bible in a Year Plan, Prophecies of the Messiah Fulfilled and an extensive Concordance with Bible words and places.

This is a nice Bible for any believer. I think this is an amazing Bible for new believers, teens, and young adults. It’s not overwhelming with notes. It doesn’t go deep into theology. However, there is enough information for you to dig deeper into the word.

It is available as a softcover, hardcover, and Leatherlike cover. You can get a charcoal gray striped or a teal striped with index tabs or without. I have the teal striped without the index tabs. It’s very appealing in color and size.

Another feature is the Filament Bible app which includes over 350 videos, interactive maps, articles, profiles, and devotionals.  The Bible itself has several notes, reading guides, charts, and other neat features. I love the maps that are included throughout the Bible. Each book has an introduction page that gives you an overview of the book and highlights key events. It also has a timeline of the events in the book of important events. Big Story Notes that ask questions to connect lessons and personality. There are also several illustrations of places, items, and other relevant features of the verses.

Like so many modern Bibles they seem to be doing things differently than what I grew up with. Just like other translations, there are several verses that are completely omitted: Matthew 17:21, Matthew 18:11, Matthew 23:14, Acts 8: 37. Other situations are that sentences or half of the verse is omitted completely or changed: Matthew 19:9, Luke 4:8 – “get thee behind me Satan” is omitted, Matthew 19:9, Mark 6:11, Acts 17: 29 & Romans 1:20 removes in my opinion important words. I have just listed a few things. The Bible still has the word of God throughout it just some featured scriptures are different or just missing. How do you really review the Word of God! 

I’m not a scholar of the Bible but, it doesn’t sit well with me with so many verses being omitted or words being changed from what has been the standard for many years. It also seems to be more gender-neutral than other versions that I have read. This isn’t a Bible that I prefer with the translation. It’s something that I suggest you pray about and research yourself. Don’t just take my word of the NLT Bible.

My Thoughts:

I think so many believers miss so much of the Bible. They get stuck in the New Testament and don’t venture into the Old Testament. The whole Bible is alive and we can find the Gospel in every book in the Old Testament. As a Messianic Believer who believes in Yeshua (Jesus) and celebrates the Biblical feast I often see a lot of replacement theology. Many don’t read the Old Testament or have done away with the Jews. If that was true that God could replace the Jews then what hope do we have? You can’t have one without the other. We see the prophecies in the Old Testament and so many other things that would be missed if we didn’t have both.

I believe that Dr. Michael makes some good points about “studying” God’s word. I think that it can be hard to put pieces together, especially in the Old Testament. She points out that to fully understand we need to understand the land and even the culture. I have been a believer for over 30 years and it took me a long time to learn how to really dig in and study the Bible. I don’t think studying the Bible is taught. I would have loved to have this as a resource as a new believer back then. Going to Israel really changed my life. The reality, is not everyone can go to Israel. Dr. Michael really does make the Bible go from 2D to 3D.

My Thoughts:

This is a beautiful full Bible with a fun Leathersoft-over-board cover. There are several designs that will be very appeasing for girls. I love the fun colors and designs available. The recommended age is 8-12 with this Bible. There is a white ribbon book-marker to keep your reading place secure.

The Bible layout is one single-column with a margin. Some of the margin is lined for note taking or designing your own Bible journaling design. Other places for the margin has a design for you to color. The Bible lays out flat for easy coloring or designing.

The Bible doesn’t have an introduction page at the beginning of each book.  There are no maps at the back of the Bible.

This is a big thick Bible. I wasn’t expecting it to be so thick. It weights a little over two pounds!

The pages are your typical thin Bible pages but the page color is white. The only median you can color with no bleed through would be with coloring pencils or crayons. If you do use other medians I would recommend having a thick piece of paper to put behind it. You will have bleed through. The good thing is that the bleed through will be in the margins. Personally I would prefer thicker pages for a Bible that you can color in. I was a bit disappointed with the paper quality. 

There are some full page designs also. Some of the designs are scripture verses and others just fun designs to color.

The font size is 8 point type size! The font is way too small for me to read and for my daughter with vision issues. This may not be an issue for those with good vision and much younger than me.

This is a lovely Bible with a lot of potential. This will be very appealing to girls who love to be creative and a good start for Bible journaling.
