A View from Above

Last month I got to go home and it was a much anticipated trip home as I haven't been home since 2001. It was great to see my sister and my aunts, uncles, and cousins.

My daughter went with me and the guys went and did some extreme camping in Colorado.

Bug was extremely excited about flying on an airplane and being in the clouds. She filled up my phone and her tablet with photos.

Our plane arrived and is getting ready to get loaded.

Bug wanted to see if she could find our luggage get loaded in the plane. Guess what she did see it get loaded thanks to my brightly colored fluff ball that is attached to it.

Having a child with Autism and other disabilities I was a bit nervous with how she would react on the plane. Luckily she did amazing on the flight! I have to admit my brain hurt after awhile after the details from the clouds in the sky and the landscape below. She couldn't understand that from where I was sitting I couldn't see what she seen or couldn't just unbuckle to look out the window. I had to pretend I seen some things.

Our view of leaving Wichita.

She was amazed at the landscape outside of the city and how it looked so barren. Welcome to Kansas.

Below are just a few more photos from above.

I loved how my daughter purposely captured a photo of the wing again but in the clouds.

She was amazed by all the woods. She couldn't believe how many trees she could see everywhere. I have to admit it made me miss the scenery.

On our last leg of our trip leaving Atlantic Airport.

It was a wonderful trip seeing my family and going to the beach.

A Dog and His Boy

Little Man is always playing around with my camera and phone. I just never know what kind of picture I'll see when I look. I thought this was a sweet one. Rascal looks real proud as Little Man brought him up in the chair while he was doing school. Rascal likes to climb on the desk and lay down and watch what is going on from this height. We think he wishes he was a cat as he always has an amused looked when the cat is up high.

Little Man's Pictures

Someone blessed Little Man with a tripod for our camera. A few weeks ago we took it out to a friends garden for him to play around with while I visited.
I love this picture of him taking a picture of his reflection. He surprises me with the pictures he takes and how he sees things through the lenses of a camera.
He was intrigued with all the bird houses in the small backyard. Her garden is stunning and there is something to look at in every nook and cranny.
This was his favorite bird house in the white.
See what I mean that there is something everywhere from bird houses, wind chimes, garden decor, and hanging plants. Not to mention all the flowers.
He was a bit disappointed with this picture.
He was trying to get just the red humming bird feeder. He wasn't so thrilled with the tripod. He understands that there is a time and place for a tripod and this was probably not a good place. He just wanted to test drive his new toy. He had a hard time adjusting the angles  and getting certain objects in focus. I was glad that he was determined to learn how to work with it for when he needs it.
He likes to put objects at an angle. I tend to put them straight on. That is probably why he takes better pictures than me.
He was trying to get the shadow of the wind chimes.
 Another pretty garden decor.
I really want one of these in my garden. The light reflecting off the wine bottles was so pretty with all the different colors. He said, "he was having a hard time adjusting the light and the reflection of the bottles".
Then he went with a silly picture of his sister making faces at him. She was getting bored and wanted his attention.
So much fun with looking at garden decor everywhere. This is a fun rain gage.
I think I want her garden in my backyard.
I thought this was a fun one. He was trying to focus the water in the bird bath and not the flowers. All on a tripod.
A chair with a planter in it.
 More wind chimes.
Then he went to the flowers. Which he took a whole lot of pictures of the flowers.
This was one that he couldn't get the right angle of the flower on the tripod. He knew it but, still wanted the camera on the tripod.
This last picture he couldn't stand it and took the camera off the tripod and called it a day. Good job Little Man.

Kids Pictures

Little Man is playing with a black and white picture this year for 4-H. He's never done this type of photo before. He thought his bike would be a good subject.

This is one of the photo's he decided to do for the fair. We played around with different angles with the camera. We thought this one was at the right angle with the light hitting it.

I don't have a photographic eye. So what do you think? I personally like the way it turned out.

The color is nice on this photo but, the angle is off. We liked how the bike slanted in the first one better.

Our Week In Review

We are finally getting closer to finishing up the bathroom.
We are planning on the end of next week it being completed.
A full week of school got accomplished.
Bug has been doing Teaching Textbooks this year for math.
Challah bread for Shabbat. I have been making challah bread for our congregation the last few months. My recipe makes four loaves. Every week we have a loaf for home also.
Watch for my review next week on the Faith Builders Bible. My first TOS Crew review of the year.
 Sand Art fun.
4-H the kids are doing foods, the first class was going over basic safety in the kitchen.
Washing your hands and not spreading germs.
 Knife safety and healthy foods.
 Washing fruits correctly.
 Star Fruit.
I don't think Little Man liked the Star Fruit.
I am surprised Bug is eating it.
I think Mercy sure does take up a lot of pixels. It was just to cute.
Not a good picture of the other side.
Rascal likes to stick his face in the corner of the couch when he sleeps. I guess his nose gets cold.
4-H photography workshop. The kids had to tell a story with a picture. Bugs picture of course.
I have not idea what this story tells.
Little man, not something that would of caught my attention. Interesting picture.
This tells a story with the flag being at half mast.
My sweet boy and the animals sleeping with him.
