The Imagination Station Peril in the Palace Book 3
June 15, 2011
Peril in the Palace by Marianne Hering and Paul McCuster
Beth and Patrick are about ready to embark on another adventure to help save Albert from Lord Darkthorn. This is book three in this series. The story begins shortly after they return from Rome in Attack of the Arena.
Next destination- China in 1271. The task is to find the golden tablet of Kublai Khan. Things start out bad as soon as they exit the imagination station. They are kidnapped by Mongol warriors. With their life on the line they meet Marco Polo in the Mongolian camp who saves them from harm.
While at the Shangu palace, Kublai Khan dislikes the cousins gifts and about the bold message Beth tells the Emperor about Jesus. Kublai Khan challenges them with his Mongol magicians and it doesn't look good for Patrick and Beth. They get locked up and war breaks out. How will they ever escape and get the golden tablet to save Albert.
As always a fun book for kids. This book ends different than the previous ones. I love that Beth is bold about the gospel and not afraid to share it when things are not looking good for the cousins. I look forward to sharing this adventure with my kids.
Tyndale House Publishers has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book. In no way was I asked to give a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
