New Year Resolutions
January 04, 2012
What are your New Year Resolutions. I am not actually one to really make resolutions. I seem to do better not setting myself up for failure.:0) I don't do the weight loss resolution. Maybe I should! I could spare a couple of pounds to be gone this year.
One thing I do like to do this time of the year is to assess how I spent my time with the Lord. It seems to be a good time to reflect on the previous year. I like to ask myself several things:
1. Was I wasteful in my time.
2. Did I spend time reading the bible or did I put other things first?
3. Did I spend time praying and having some quality time with my Savior?
4. Do I need to adjust my priorities?
5. Did others see Yeshua (Jesus) in me? That includes my husband and children. They are the ones who see me at all times. They see the good and sometimes the ugly side. It has to start in the home.
Here are some wonderful scriptures to consider and to measure ourselves up to.

2 Corinthians 5:17
17 So then, if anyone is in Christ, that person is part of the new creation. The old things have gone away, and look, new things have arrived!
16 Wash! Be clean! Remove your ugly deeds from my sight. Put an end to such evil; 17 learn to do good.
Seek justice: help the oppressed;[a] defend the orphan; plead for the widow.

Matthew 7:12
12 Therefore, you should treat people in the same way that you want people to treat you; this is the Law and the Prophets.
