Week In Review-Week #18

We are in Sonlight Core C week #18
Scripture memory this week: We are reviewing all our previous scriptures. I haven't gotten my act together to get our new ones ready.
Our read-out-loud is: The Cricket in Times Square which we finished this week, Aesop's Fables, and A Poke in the I for our poetry.
School didn't happen much this week as Bug and I ended up being sick. We also had a lot of Dr. appointments this week.
So what did we do? We did get some math done, reading, phonics, and handwriting. As far as Sonlight goes, I will be carry some of this last week into next week. We started on a new Alef Bet workbook this week.
For science we are studying about weather. The focus was about the different types of clouds and how and when they produce rain. We didn't do the experiment on how to create a cloud in a bottle. Just maybe next week, maybe.
As far as countries we visited in geography this week. We are on the continent of South America and focuses on the countries of Cuba, Venezuela, and Haiti. We learned about the believers in each country and the poverty in these countries. The kids found them on our map and stamped their passports.
In history this week we just started to touch on the Ottoman Turks and the Muslims in Persia. Then Bug threw up. Yep, so class was canceled for the day. Then mom got sick after she was better. The rest of the family has so far been spared the sickness.

Hi, Renee! Love this glimpse into how sonlight fits into your routine and event the ups and downs. I'm doing preschool with my 3 and 5 year old this year and we are loving it. :)
