The Christian Alphabet Book Tracy Sands Book Review
May 06, 2013
Do you know your Christian ABC’s?
The Christian Alphabet Book by Tracy Sands is a unique, visual, and enjoyable way to learn the basics of Christianity. “Love”, the dove from above, guides you from A to Z with special Biblical lessons of love for all ages. What is more important than a firm foundation of faith?
Similar to learning to read from knowing the regular ABC’s, one will be inspired to know, love, and serve God by learning The Christian Alphabet.Share the Gospel with your Children
Jesus told Peter, in the gospel of John, to “feed my lambs.” The Christian Alphabet Book will help all teachers of children feed their little lambs spiritually. Give those you love this book to help spread the Good News about God’s everlasting love and life. The Christian Alphabet Book is more than just a children’s book. It is a book that families can cherish together while sharing its timeless messages that give Glory to God.
To the right, you will find 2 sample pages from the book. For children ages 3-6, they may learn what each letter stands for - "J is for Jesus", find the different Christian symbols within the letter, and then say the nightly prayer. Children ages 6-10 may read the lesson, do the activity within the blue box, read the Bible verse, and learn about the different Christian symbols.

My Thoughts:
What a beautiful illustrated book. Each
page is filled with elegant details in every picture in this book. With each
letter you have a Christian symbolism that is used to convey the message of
that letter.
At first I thought this would be a book
to teach a young child their ABC’s but, I was totally surprised when I received
it. Mind you I wasn’t disappointed.
Each letter has a word associated with
it, such as “C” for Christ. Each letter has two full pages for that letter.
First you will have definition for that word. Next you have a related Bible verses,
and a mini Bible lesson for the letter. It could be used for a Bible devotion
for children. The primary lesson is highlighted in red. Every alphabet lessons
ends with a prayer.
This would be more of a supplement book
if you are planning on using to teach your child the ABC’s. I would personality
think it would make a good Bible study or devotion to go along with your
curriculum.
I was also given the CD “The Christian Alphabet Song" which is normally a separate purchase. The CD has The Christian Alphabet song along with three other Christian songs. It is a nice supplement to the book, especially for very young children. I think it should be included with the book and not a separate purchase of $4.95. I feel that it is a little pricey for what is on it. You can go to the website and order some customized prints for your child or school.
This is a good
supplement for a church school, homeschool, and any Christian family. This
would also be a great gift for a child or an expecting mother.
I received this book free from the
publisher through the BookCrash.com
book review program, which requires an honest, though not necessarily positive,
review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in
accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s CFR Title 16, Part 255: “Guides
Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
