Week in Review -Week #26-2013-2014

We are in Sonlight American History Part 2
Romans 12:2
We are in the book of Daniel.
We finished reading, "Hero Over Here A Story of World War I" by Kathleen V. Kudinkski.
We finished reading, "Life in the Dust Bowl" by Sally Senzell.
We started reading, "A Letter to Mrs. Roosevelt".
For Poetry we are reading, "The Oxford Illustrated Book of American Children's Poems" By Donald Hall.
Little Man had Karate this week. We didn't make it to PE this week.
Bug had Occupational and Physical Therapy this week.
Bug was back in the saddle again this week. She was happy to see her new horse, "Rascal". She led the horse by herself and got to do some trotting which, is a lot of fun to do a slow run on the horse.
In history this week we are still in the Great Depression. We compared the prices of food back in that era to present day. We talked about how most woman stayed home to care for the family rather than work outside of the home.
We did our timeline, passport, and did our mapping.
The kids are doing good with no real hang ups this last week.
Little Man is working on Pronouns, abbreviations, and sentence structures.
He also started "Spelling You See". We are doing a review on it for the TOS Crew. It's made by the same company that does "Math U See". I'll update you on my review on it.
Bug is working hard on compound words and reviewing other concepts.
Little Man had is first class with 4-H Rocketry and has already started building his rocket. He is thrilled about finally getting to build his rocket.
My kids are still working on Science4Us online. They love it and can't wait to get online to do science. I will tell you more about it later when I do my review for the TOS Crew Review.
We also started Amazing Science and are looking into which experiments we plan on doing in the upcoming weeks for a review
The kids are working on Hebrew a few times a week. No official art instruction. Little Man is plugging away with KinderBach Piano Online Lessons.
