Week in Review -Week #27-2013-2014
February 22, 2014
This week Little Man and I have been fighting some sickness. Little Man came down with it suddenly. We were getting an oil change and he came up to me in the waiting room and threw up on my lap. It was quite a mess and he was so embarrassed.
We are in Sonlight American History Part 2
Review of previously learned scripture verse.
We are in the book of Daniel
We are reading "A Letter to Mrs. Roosevelt" by C. Coco De Young.
For poetry we are reading, "The Oxford Illustrated Book of American Children's Poems" by Donald Hall
Little Man had PE this week in which they worked on stretching, physical exercise. He didn't have any karate class this week.
Bug had Speech, Occupational, Physical, and Food Therapy this last week. We had to cancel Horse Therapy this week with Little Man being sick.
We started learning about War World II. We didn't get as far as we had originally planned. We started by learning about some of the dictators and how they came to power. The ones we touched on was Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and General Ariki of Japan. That is about as far as we got this last week. We didn't even do our usual mapping and passport book this last week.
I don't quite remember what we did in this area this last week. I think that the kids got off light this week.
Little Man is working on Spelling You See. We are doing a review for the Schoolhouse Crew Review.
The kids are doing Science4Us.com for science.
We did and experiment with the help of Amazing Science Volume I DVD. This is another review for the Schoolhouse Crew Review. Little Man was recovering from his sickness.
Little man put on my stuff. He's not sure how much he wants to be involved. I think he will come around.
Little Man did some of his piano. We did accomplish anything else in this area.

He enjoyed this experiment and we did it a couple times. Of course Bug had lots of fun.
Bug had entomology and they built their own bug catching nets.
Bug got her first Beekeeping suit. She wasn't sure how much she liked the feel of it. I could tell her sensory issues are kicking in. Can you see how stiff she is? I think once she sees the bees in the hive her love for insects will kick in. She also knows that it's something she has to do to be a beekeeper.Little man put on my stuff. He's not sure how much he wants to be involved. I think he will come around.
Hebrew, Art, and Misc.. Studies
Little Man did some of his piano. We did accomplish anything else in this area.
