Week in Review -Week #29-#30-2013-2014
March 14, 2014
We are in Sonlight American History Part II
We are reviewing previous learned verses.
We are reading the books of the prophets. We are working on a workbook called, "Gods Puzzle".
We finished reading, "A Letter to Mrs. Roosevelt" by C. Coco De Young
For poetry we are reading, "The Oxford Illustrated Book of American Children's Poems" by Donald Hall
We started reading, " Amelia Earhart The Legend of the Lost Aviator" by Shelley Tanaka
We started reading, " You Wouldn't Want to Be a World War II Pilot!" by Ian Graham
Little Man is practicing for his orange belt in Karate. He is playing dodge ball in PE.
We bought jump ropes and have all been having fun with them.
Wow, we have been therapy and appointment free this week. It was a nice break with a cost of having lots of other things going on and some sickness.
We have been learning about Amelia Earhart and mapping her travels on a map and passports.
We are in World War II. This week we are still learning about the many battles like D-Day and others.
We also are talking about women and how they helped in the war in the war in both the Allies and Axis side.
The machines of the war have been Little Man's favorite. We are going over the different jets and equipment in the war.
Little man is learning about linking verbs. He finished his handwriting workbook and Explode the Code. It's hard to believe we are coming to the end of the school year.
Both kids started a new online math program called CTC Math. We are doing a review for the TOS Crew. So far the kids are loving it.
Bug is having fun and working on Reading Eggs and Reading Press. She still hasn't completed her Handwriting Without Tears Cursive workbook. I don't know how she finished all of her work for the year so early. Maybe I didn't challenge her enough.
The kids are doing Super Charged Science and we have explored some of the experiments.
The kids are still doing Science4Us online.
We are learning about penguins, sea turtles, and salmon with the Curiosity Quest DVD.
Both kids are doing Hebrew studies using Cap IT!.
