Prairie Rose Field Trip

Another fun field trip a few weeks back. The kids got to step back in the days of the wild west and hang out with a couple of mountain men.

The day started out with prayer around the chuck wagon after the flag was raised
This particular flag had 18 stars on it.
The kids learned about the chuck wagon and the history behind it.
Obstacle races to get that competitiveness out among friends.

                                                                 Bug did it also.
Little Man found out that a moving beam is harder than it looks.

I don't think this would be part of the old west, but it was a lot of fun anyways.
The kids got to explore the inside of a teepee.
Peek a boo is what Bug was doing.
Of course I have to do some staged posing for the kids.

We even got introduced to a top bar beehive. Why I didn't take any pictures I just don't know. I think Bug was so excited and we had lots of questions to ask about the top bar beehive. It was a lot of fun at Prairie Rose Educational Days.
