Week in Review #3-2014-2015

We are only in the 3rd week of school and I am already getting behind on my update for my Week in Review. We have been having an extremely busy start to this new school year.
We are still reviewing some scriptures from last year.
We are doing our biblical studies different this year. We did start the New Testament this week and will work our way through it.
We are reading, " Christian Heroes: Then & Now Lillian Trasher They Greatest wonder in Egypt by Janet & Geoff Benge
For Poetry we are reading, “To Be a Free People the Saga of Israel by Michael Bar-Zohar. This is a book of poems, songs, newspaper articles, and quotes from Israel.
Little Man is still doing karate twice a week. Right now our weekly PE class is on hold.
Bug had physical therapy this week. Horse therapy got cancelled as it is too hot for man or beast to be working so hard.
For food therapy she at rice and beans and she wasn't impressed with them at all. She also tried a red bell pepper with not much love for it etiher.
Bug is reviewing nouns and pronouns. A lot of review still going on for her.
Little Man is also working on nouns, sentence structures, capitalization, and punctuation.
We are in studying Biblical, Jewish, and Ancient Israel

Physical and Health Education

History and Geography
Our first history book we are going through is, “Introduction
to Jewish History from Abraham to the Sages” by Seymour Rossel.
We are reading, "Let's Explore Israel".

Not much else was done this week as it has been a crazy start of the new school year.
Language Arts and Math
Bug is reviewing nouns and pronouns. A lot of review still going on for her.
Little Man is also working on nouns, sentence structures, capitalization, and punctuation.
Science
Bug's entomology box went to the Kansas State Fair and she got a purple ribbon and advances to intermediate in 4-H entomology. Which means she can now have 2 boxes and up to 300 insects. Her box now she is only allowed 150 insects.
We are learning the terminology for botany this week and working on the new notebooks.
We also separated Legos for an activity to understand taxonomy.

Hebrew, Art, and Misc...
Studies
Little Man is doing Hebrew at the
synagogue and working on vocabulary with Daddy.
Bug is working on her verses in
Hebrew for her upcoming Bat Mitzvah. She is now starting to sing it. We only
have 8 weeks left before her big day.
Art has not started at this time
also.
