When Calls the Heart, Heart of the Family Review
October 13, 2015
I
love it when you find a company that promotes Christian Values. FishFlix.com is
one of those amazing companies that I don’t have to second guess myself with
the material if it’s going to be a Godly material to present to my family. No
quickly hitting the off button or telling my kids to look away NOW! We recently
watched When Calls the Heart, Heart of the Family in which I received a
physical copy.
FishFlix.com is a family owned company. Best of all FishFlix.com is a Christian company that
I know it has the highest standards in the material they sell to your family.
You have a very large selection of biographies, documentaries, children movies,
historical, and just fun family movies to enjoy. There is something for
everyone in your family to enjoy. You can get movies for a family movie night,
or for a study in for your homeschool also. That is just the icing on the cake!
There is something to delight anyone in your family with all the available
selections.

When Calls the Heart, Heart of the Family is produced by Michael Landon Jr. The
movie is based on Janette Oke novels. Which is shown on Hallmark Channel.
Janette Oke is known for The Love Comes Softly series. Which is one of our family’s
all-time favorites.
This
is the third movie in the series in Heart of the Family. There are some
well-known actresses and actors like Erin Krakow(Army Wives), Lori
Loughlin(Full House), Jack Wagner, and Daniel Lissing.
I
have somehow missed a few of the prior movies in this series. I wasn’t as
familiar with the characters as I have been with the previous series. It starts
pretty much with the assumption that you are caught up on what has happened in
the previous movies. I can’t blame them as I have missed the previous titles. I
was a bit lost trying to place some of the names and putting the story line all
together.
Regardless,
of that I still enjoyed watching When Calls the Heart, Heart of The Family with
my mother-in-law. She has watched all the previous ones. She was trying to fill
me in with the details of what transpired in the previous movies! Still not the
same so I am going to have to watch the previous titles for myself.
I
love the time frame in history and the faith of the main characters. The
wholesome and hardworking values that are portrayed are what makes the movie
such a good one.
I do
think the series has changed a lot since the original one. That makes me sad as
the original is just priceless. A lot of different story lines going on with
other characters rather than just focusing on the main characters.
Overall,
I enjoyed the movie. Other members of the Crew have reviewed other movies from FishFlix.com so don’t forget to stop by their blog and see what they watched!
