How did I use t Language Smarts™ Level E in
my homeschool?
I used this with my 10
year old son. He is actually in 5th grade. I have always found
products from The Critical Thinking Co.™ challenging and I knew he would have
his work cut out for him even at this level. He is above average in language
arts.
That being said, he was challenged
in a few areas. We started out with syllables. Syllables are not a favorite
topic for him. It was a good review for him to go over syllables. I realized
that this was an area that we haven’t done in awhile. He wasn’t so thrilled
with syllables. I decided to start from the beginning and skip around with what
we had going on in his other language curriculum for reinforcement on the
topic. He was content with working on his lessons after the first part with
syllables! I worked side by side with him. He liked the variety of topics which kept his
attention.
He worked on this 5 days
a week and typically two pages a day. I plan on continuing to work through this
with my son this year.
I wasn’t familiar with
The Critical Thinking Co.™ when my kids were younger. The Critical Thinking Co.™ has
some amazing software programs that others in the Crew did with their kids. If you have toddlers or preschoolers they have
Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic Before Kindergarten! From what I seen it looks
pretty amazing.
