With the digital age of books I have to admit that I find it hard to follow a book on at tablet. However, my kids don’t have any problems in with reading books on the tablet. They eat them up. I was quite excited to receive this for my son. I downloaded it for him on his tablet and on my computer for me to look at.
First off I’m enthralled with the colorful graphics of the The Action Storybook Bible. The details in this Bible are quite remarkable. My son and I spent a lot of time exploring the graphics after we read the Bible stories.
The Bible pages are set up like a comic strip. Some pages have a full page of a story while other stories are broken down in comic strip boxes. The font is easy to read on the colorful pages and of course what is a graphic style Bible without a few KABOOMS and such!
There are a total of 15 of the Bible stories 9 Old Testament and 6 New Testament.
Remember this is a storybook Bible. The stories that we know from the Bible are not compromised but, they are shortened. This is something that kids can enjoy getting familiar with men and women in God’s Word.
At the end of each Bible story there is a section called, “Life, Faith, Action”. This is basically a summary of the story showing you God in Action of the individual and putting Faith in Action. With a box that has a prayer that you can say pertaining to the events of the story.
At the end of the Bible another section I like was the, “Hall of Fame” This showcases 40 individuals from God’s word. One of the individuals is you. It’s in alphabetical order and gives a brief description of each individual.
I don’t think this replaces a full Bible but, it won’t hurt your kids to read the amazing things that God has done in The Action Storybook Bible'. I have heard some critical comments from parent with this style of Bible. In my opinion is it going to hurt them studying God’s word reading this? I rather them read this then some other books out there. Get your kids a full Bible also. I know my son remembered many stories from the Bible from a graphic Bible in the past.
I posted a giveaway not long ago. You can either go straight to the giveaway or read my post about the giveaway by clicking on the links.
