Snappsy The Alligator and His Best Friend Forever by Julie Falatko Book Review
October 22, 2017
Snappsy the alligator wants nothing more than a quiet
evening alone, but a pesky chicken who insists he’s Snappsy’s best friend won’t
leave him alone. Friendship bracelets? Matching shirts? The sleepover of the
century? Snappsy did not ask for any of the activities this chicken – his best
friend forever? – is planning.
My Thoughts:
I love children’s books and sharing them with my kiddos. Even
with my kids being much older they still appreciate a good kids book.
First off, I haven’t read any of the other books of Snappsy
The Alligator.
What do a chicken and an alligator have in common? Not much
and Snappsy and Bert are complete opposites. Snappsy is more reserved and
enjoys time alone reading and lives a more healthy non adventurous life style.
Bert is a chicken that loves spending time with friends,
eating junk food, and sleeping over at his BFF house.
There is one problem-they just met a few weeks ago and
Snappsy didn’t even know his name. The chicken is pesky and in your space all
the time.
Well, I’m not going to give away the rest of the story.
This is a hardback book with a dust jacket. The
illustrations are full colored. The pictures are kind of generic and simple but,
I think that is one of features that made this story even better. It’s just fun
and you can see the expressions of the character clearly.
I laughed and chuckled several times at the story. Even my
kids found it rather amusing. You just can’t help to not love Bert and Snappsy.
This is a keeper and I look forward to more books from Snappsy The Alligator in
the future.
