Jesus Calling Adult Coloring Book: Creative Coloring & Hand Lettering by Sarah Young Review
March 26, 2018
Enjoy peace in the presence of the Savior as you relax and reflect on the words of Jesus Calling® through this gorgeous new Jesus Calling® Creative Coloring & Hand Lettering. Favorite Jesus Calling quotes and scriptures are selected to hand letter—with a tutorial in the front of the book and faint guidelines on each lettering page—alongside 100 beautifully detailed coloring pages.
Book includes quotes from Jesus Calling, 100 pages of intricate coloring designs, a tutorial and templates to learn basic hand lettering, and perforated pages.
In addition to the beautiful, intricate adult coloring book art, enjoy learning the art of hand lettering with a simple guided tutorial and templates for hand lettering throughout the book.
In the same way that the bestselling devotional offers a moment of peace during your busy day, so this new coloring book will remind you of His still, quiet voice in the midst of a bustling world.
My Thoughts:
Jesus Calling Creative Coloring & Hand Lettering by Sarah Young is an adult coloring book that you can also copy some beautiful hand lettering. The coloring book is a companion for 365-day Devotional of Jesus Calling.
The pages are fairly thick for coloring. There are 112 pages. Some markers may bleed through so I would test it first with your markers. The paper is also perforated that you can take out the pages as the book doesn’t lay flat when you are coloring it.
There is an introduction paper that gives you some information on the hand lettering side. Some of the quotes are in a grayscale for you to trace with your own median. There is a practice page in the very back to practice before you work on the coloring pages.
There are a variety of pictures to color from flowers, insects, animals, and other interesting scenery like a ships anchor to a throne room. I like that the pictures are overly busy. Some have more details than other pictures.
This is a beautiful book that you can even tear out your masterpieces and frame them. This would also make a lovely gift for someone along with the Jesus Calling devotional book. I like coloring as it tends to be relaxing to me.
