Revived & Renovated is a conversation on well-loved topics between two great friends.
Victoria and Paige delight in all the dovetails found among the
parallels of the work we do in our homes and our souls. Covering topics of home
renovation with corresponding Biblical wisdom and perspectives from their
personal walks with God, Revived and Renovated will
be an encouragement to young and old alike.
My Thoughts:
I love remodeling projects and enjoy seeing the end results. I love watching home improvement shows! This title intrigued me right away and I couldn’t wait to read it. The book paints a beautiful correlation of home, faith, and everything in-between. I love how the author says sometimes a job is big and everything needs to be gutted and sometimes a simple refresh is needed. Isn’t that so much like our walk serving the Lord as there are times we need to be refreshed and other times it really hurts and we have to really dig in to overcome sin, disappointment, and other things that are on our path.
The book reads like a conversation going back and forth sprinkled with scriptures throughout. Each chapter has a scripture it jumps off of. You will see words that correspond with remodeling projects and the author connects it with faith. The book is light-hearted and heartfelt. You will also have some pro tips on remodeling projects throughout.
It seems like an odd combination but this book is beautifully written. I haven’t completely finished the book but I am truly enjoying this book. This would make a lovely gift.
