Pups of the Spirit by Jill Gorey Book Review
March 05, 2014
Nine lovable canines romp through the pages of this picture
book displaying the important Fruit of the Spirit traits including: Love, Joy,
Peace, Kindness, Patience, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and
Self-control.
My Thoughts:
What a cute way to introduce children to the Fruits of the Spirit.
The nine puppies are all different breeds with different personalities. I love
how the story gives examples that a child can do on how to apply the Fruit of
the Spirit in their life.
The illustrations are fun and delightful. This is a hardback book
and the dust jacket turns into a poster and has all nine pups pictured with a
bible quote about the Fruit of the Spirit. I love biblically based children’s
books that are fun and capture the attention of a child.
In my opinion this would be a great book to read to a child after
you have read Galatians 5:22-23 to them. I highly recommend this book.
