NIV ReadEasy Bible Review
June 17, 2014
The NIV ReadEasy Bible brings readability
and portability together in one neat, sophisticated package. Whether you’re at
church, the coffee shop, or trekking around the globe, this handy-sized Bible
is perfect to take with you. Its convenient size makes it easy to keep the
timeless truth of God's Word at hand, no matter where life takes you.
My Thoughts:
If you are looking for a no nonsense
Bible without all the distractions then the NIV ReadEasy Bible would be a good
fit for you. It has no study notes, no dictionary, no commentary, concordances,
and maps. Just God’s Holy Word without all the extra stuff. Not that I don’t
like study Bibles but at times I find I get distracted reading all the notes
when I should be listening.
Some of the features of this Bible are:
NIV Version
Italian Duo-Tone cover. I really like the
two tone cover it really makes an attractive cover.
The print is larger and easier to read.
All the words of Jesus are in red.
The Bible lays flat for easy reading.
It also has a ribbon marker.
The edges of the pages are silver and the
binding looks very tight. I have had problems with binding in Bibles before that
come apart. I always have a tendency to look at the binding in Bibles. It is
also a two-column page. The Bible has 1,612 pages.
This is a nice portable lightweight
Bible. I tend to carry a lot of bags due to my children when I go to service. It’s
nice Bible that isn’t so bulky and distracting with all the notes.
Overall, I really am impressed with the simplicity
of this Bible. I have grown so accustom to all the bells and whistles in Bibles
now a days that I found the NIV ReadEasy Bible very refreshing. I think this
will be my go to Bible when I go to service.
