Ancient Shilo Israel
July 14, 2014
We had the privilege of visiting Ancient
Shiloh during our visit to Israel last spring.
1 And the whole congregation of the children
of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the tent of
meeting there; and the land was subdued before them.
Joshua 18:1
10 And
Joshua cast lots for them in Shilo before the Lord; and there Joshua divided
the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.
Joshua 18:10
It was an exciting time during our visit as
they have been finding lots of new and exciting things here.
Shilo is home of the Tabernacle when the
Hebrews entered the Promised Land. The Tabernacle was here from Joshua to the
time of Samuel. I am no Biblical scholar but, I will show you the pictures of our visit.
All the mosaic flooring was beautiful in this area. It was a large area that was so well preserved.
Israel's first capital for 369 years.
We were not able to see this area due to an active archeological dig going on but, this is the area. They have been digging up some exciting stuff.
An olive press.
I just love the landscape. Just being in Israel was breath taking.
Enjoy as I always say after I post the pictures of Israel is that I look forward to being able to go back to Israel again-someday. Wouldn't you love to visit Israel too? It was an amazing place to go an to walk in the place our Lord and Savior Yeshua walked.
