Guys Slimline Bible Review
May 03, 2016
Guys Slimline Bibles
feature the easy-to-understand New Living Translation text with a handsome blue
chevron cover design—hand-picked by pre-teen guys in our cover survey! This
durable LeatherLike edition of God’s Word also features silver gilded page
edges, a blue ribbon marker, a special presentation page featuring Psalm 62:7,
and matching endsheets.
The Guys Slimline
Bible blue chevron edition is the perfect gift for all occasions and features
the easy to understand New Living Translation text, which is excellent for
young readers because it is so clear and they can understand what they are
reading! When they can read and understand God’s Word, God can work in their
hearts. Additional features in this edition include a 53-page
dictionary/concordance to help locate passages on various topics, 8 pages of
full-color maps, a 365-day reading plan, and more.
My Thoughts:
My 10 year old son is growing up
and has been asking for a Bible that is more suitable for his age. On the other
hand he doesn’t want to carry around a large Bible. He is also not ready for a
study Bible as they distract him while reading.
He wanted something that was
light weight, that looked cool on the cover, an easy translation, and he didn’t
want all the study notes in the Bible.
This is a nice size for tweens or
even teens, the Slimline Bible is a nice size for backpacks and for carrying
around. The cover is nice black imitation leather with a rich blue chevron design
on it.
Some of the nice features in the Guys
Slimline Bible:
The
Bible has a presentation page.
The New
Living Translation (NLT) Bible.
1086

Footnotes

Overall,
this is a nice Bible for a growing young man. This would also be a nice Bible for
adults who want a no-frill carry around Bible.
Tyndale House
