Eric Zielinski, D.C., host of the
Essential Oils Revolution summits, offers a soup-to-nuts guide to mastering
essential oils for vibrant health and well-being, featuring dozens of recipes
and formulations for restful sleep, reduced inflammation, balanced hormones,
and more.
Achieving true health is not an easy task. For many people, it might be easier to pop a pill or push aside lingering discomfort in favor of finishing everything on your to-do list. In The Healing Power of Essential Oils, Eric Zielinski, D.C. shows readers how to make their health a priority with the life-changing benefits of essential oils. Essential oils are the natural solution to everything from anxiety and depression to deep-seated inflammation. For beginners, Dr. Z teaches everything you need to know to get started, including the top seven oils you should stock from Day 1 and the commonly used techniques and tools. He illustrates daily practices you can follow to enjoy the properties of essential oils, including a five-minute devotional using frankincense and neroli to set you up for a productive and stress-free day, and a simple bedtime routine harnessing the soporific effects of lavender.
Backed by extensive research, Dr. Z also supplies essential oil blends that promote hormone balance, reduced inflammation, improved digestion, increased immunity, and so much more. You'll be armed with over 150 recipes for every health need, and a special section on women's health includes dozens of formulations for PMS, fertility, pregnancy, candida, and menopause. Even those well-versed in essential oils will benefit from this thorough approach. With your newfound knowledge, you can begin tailoring an essential oils practice to your unique pain points and lifestyle right away - and start experiencing amazing results.

My family has been trying more natural remedies for medical issues the last few years. I have been exploring essential oils quite a bit lately. I was thrilled to get my hands on this book.
This is a softbound book with 320 pages. There are 17 Chapters broken down into 3 parts
Part 1: Essential Oils Revolution-
Part 1 has 6 Chapters that goes over everything from the basic tools and techniques to stocking and expanding your medicine cabinet. There is also a quick start guide in this section.
I like that he has a lot of good information with where to start. I could have used this book a few years ago.
There is a lot of great information in Part 1 if you’re new to essential oils.
Part 2: Dr. Z’s Recommended Oils for Every Occasion.
6 chapters are dedicated to this part. This section gets into the oil recipes from your basic recipes, around the house, healing yourself, athletes, and even using recipes on your four legged family members. I was thrilled to see a section on animals.
Part 3: Women’s Health
This has 5 chapters which cover Premenstrual Syndrome, fertility, pregnancy, and labor, postpartum, nursing. There is a whole chapter dedicated to the dreaded Candida and Autoimmunity. The last chapter covers permenopause, menopause, and postmenopause.
The Appendix has a lot of references and a section for recommended resources.
I like that he covers things like what is the differences in some essential oils like a bark of leaf. What about how long are essentials oils good for? I have some that I use once in awhile while other I use all the time.
Dr. Z covers the differences with topical and ingesting them. This really cleared up some information for me. Another great source of information was the different types of carrier oils. It was quite a bit of information that I would have liked to have this information when I first started it would have saved a lot of time. This really made me understand all the carrier oils.
There are over 150 recipes and remedies. I am not essential oil expert but, I don’t want to be either. I just want to be able to continue to care for my family with them. I have had some good results in the last few years with essential oils. Some of the oils get costly and I try to have some specific oils on hand for our needs. I found out some beneficial recipes and oils that I should stock up on.
Overall, this is a great book for my needs and I’m grateful to have it in my library.
