The Catch by Lisa Harris Book Review
After
a harrowing attempt on a judge's life at the courthouse, Deputy US Marshals
Madison James and Jonas Quinn are tasked with finding a missing woman and an
endangered child in connection to the murder of the judge's wife. What seems
like a fairly straightforward case becomes hopelessly tangled when the marshals
discover that the woman they are searching for is in witness protection and the
Amber Alert put out for the missing child has put two lives in danger.
Madison and Jonas are forced into a race to find
the woman and the child before the men who want her dead discover her location.
And in a final showdown that could cost her everything, Madison will come
face-to-face with the person who murdered her husband.
USA Today bestselling author Lisa Harris concludes
her thrilling US Marshals series with this breathless tale of secrets kept,
lies exposed, and ultimately, justice prevailing.
My Thoughts:
This is the last book in the US Marshals
series. This last book beautifully weaves together loose ends in all the books.
The books can be read as a standalone book but, I think you will get the full
scope of the story reading them all together.
The book starts out at a fast
pace and delivers a lot of action and a good pace throughout the book. Deputy
US Marshal Madison James has tried to catch the murder of her husband’s killer
for the last five years. The killer has been taunting her, since Madison can’t
remember who killed her husband due to her amnesia. As new clues come to light
it helps trigger her memories.
Deputy US Marshal Jonas Quinn and
Madison are also in the thick of another case trying to find a missing child as
they try to solve the judges murder.
Both main characters are well
written and enjoyable. The plot will keep you intrigued and glued to the book
till the last page. A few plot twist throughout the story.
I have enjoyed several of Lisa
Harris’s books. She never fails to deliver great Christian books that are fast
paced and amazing characters and plots.
