10 Minutes in the Word Proverbs Book Review
August 15, 2018
This devotional invites you into Proverbs, the book of wisdom. Realign your heart with God’s as you read through the Scripture and spend just a few minutes with Him. Whether you’re on a quick lunch break, between classes, or relishing some peace and quiet during nap time, 10 Minutes in the Word: Proverbs gives you what you need to keep going. Just 10 minutes a day will bring you closer to God and learning His Word.
With a beautifully designed interior, 10 Minutes in the Word: Proverbs is small enough to easily slip into a backpack, handbag, or diaper bag. Keep it on hand for whenever you have a spare moment to connect with the Lord.
My Thoughts:
I love reading the book of Proverbs and try to read through the book throughout the year. There is so much in the book of Proverbs to learn.
I love the small size of the book around 6” x 7”. It’s a hardback book. It’s great to slip in your purse or backpack. I have a Bible app on my phone to use with this book. The font and color throughout the pages is easy on the eyes. The paper is thick and glossy with the same lined theme on the edges of the pages.
I like that you use your own Bible for this devotional. It tells you at the top of the page what Proverbs chapter and verses to read. Afterwards, there are a few paragraphs that expand on the Proverbs with some meaningful insight into the chapter usually, around 2 pages worth of. There is also a short prayer for you to read. There is a box in section that has questions or it may have another scripture verse to look up. That is the layout throughout this book.
This is a nice devotional that can easily be done in the morning, during a break, or before bedtime. Don’t let this be your only Bible reading throughout the day. Think of this as a quick refresher in God’s word.
I would recommend this devotional.
