Bible Dominoes Review by Juliet David; Illustrated by Jo Parry
June 01, 2015
This domino
game helps children to learn about the Bible and Jesus while playing! It also
encourages communication, sharing, counting, and matching skills. The pieces
are large and colorful, so they're easy to pick up, and the pictures are clear.
The set includes 28 dominoes with a mixture of Bible story characters, numbers,
and animals to match, as well as instructions and a story booklet explaining
the stories featured on the cards. A useful resource for home, school, or
Sunday school.
My
Thoughts:
What kid
doesn’t love a game of dominoes? Honestly, I have never met a kid who doesn’t
enjoy playing dominoes.
When I saw Bible
Dominoes up for review I was pretty excited. What a fun hands on approach to
tell kids about Jesus while playing a game is just the icing on the cake.
This is
intended for ages 3 and up. You will need 2-4 players. The
set includes 28 dominoes which are very colorful and good eye catching
illustrations. The dominoes are a nice size for little hands. The dominoes are
also sturdy to stand up to many little kids. On each card you will see
everything from Bible characters, animals, and numbers. There is also a story
booklet with 8 stories from the Bible. They come in a nice box to keep the game
together along with the story book.
The story
book is very short and printed on paper which isn’t very durable for little
ones. This is a nice booklet to read to young kids with very basic information
in the Bible story but, if you want to teach your kids playing the game about
the Bible stories you either need to know them yourself or you can look up the
story in children’s Bible to add some depth to the game. Hey it’s a game and so
you can add to it our just enjoy it how it is..
I would
recommend this delightful game of Bible Dominoes. It truly would be a nice
addition to home, or your church school. This would also make a nice present
for someone.
