NIRV May he Faith Be With You Holy Bible Review
November 17, 2017
The May the Faith Be
with You Holy Bible, NIrV uses the popularity of space exploration to engage
children with the Word of God. Includes 24 full-color pages of ancillary
content on the marvel of God’s creation and the meaning of faith (including
outer space images), plus the complete New International Reader's Version
(NIrV) of the Bible in a very readable font size.
My Thoughts:
I
shouldn’t surprise me with all the themed Bibles out there nowadays but, there
are some that still make me do a second glance. This NIRV May he Faith Be With You Holy Bible
was one of those Bibles. I probably rolled my eyes as I was saying. “really”.
Over the last few years I have came to have a new appreciation for them when it
comes to our kids. Having a theme that they are attracted to is worth it if
they will pick up the Bible and read it.
I
have to admit the first thing I thought was that this is based off of Star
Wars. Honestly it’s not based off of it but, a space theme with intergalactic
wisdom from above. Don’t judge the book by the cover is true here.
The
Bible is intended for ages 6-10. I agree that it’s appropriate for the age. I’m
not so fond of the NIRV myself. I won’t
deny that for a child this is a nice version to read. I would rather them
understand the words that they are reading rather than get lost in the vocabulary.
If they can read with understanding then that is what matters the most so that
they can develop a relationship with God.
This
is a hardback Bible that has an embellished metallic cover with some amazing
graphics of God’s amazing universe. The font is decent for the age range. The
pages are the typical thickness and will bleed through with some medians. I
would buy your child a good Bible highlighter to prevent it. There isn’t a
ribbon bookmark in the Bible. I question if its suppose to have one as I have a
slight 1/8” ribbon sticking out of the back of it. I may have a defective in
this Bible -I can’t say for sure? I couldn’t find anything to clarify if a
bookmark is part of the Bible.
There
is a presentation page if you are gifting this to someone. A Table of Contents
to locate the books in the Bible quickly.
24-full
colored pages that cover topics like: What Were the Parables of Jesus?, Fruit
of the Spirit, Psalms 23, and many other topics.
The features in this Bible:
Master Moments: Head here to learn about amazing people and events in the Bible.
Ways of Wisdom: If you have big Bible questions, this is the place to go for answers.
Use the Force: Ready to use your powers for good? These pages help you to apply what you've learned in the Bible to your life.

The back of the Bible has a dictionary
and a list of 92 Great Bible Stories.
Some
features I would like to see in this Bible would be to have Jesus words in red, a
bookmark, book introduction, and Bible maps.
Overall
this is a nice Bible for kids and would make a nice gift for someone.
Handlebar Publicity Group has provided me with a
complimentary copy of this book. In no way was I asked to give a positive
review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
