My Thoughts:
I read something awhile back that church attendance is going
down through-out the world today. The younger generation is the lowest number
ever. As parents we are to teach our kids about God and hide His word into our kids’
hearts. I’m all for getting Bibles in the hands of our kids.
With all the distractions of technology it seems that fewer
kids these days have an interest in reading. Many years ago I would have rolled
my eyes at an illustrated Bible. Surprising many kids do not even know much
about the amazing men and women from God’s life changing word. What a better
way to introduce kids to God’s word in an illustrated Bible. I don’t know too
many kids who aren’t attracted to comics? Except these comics are life changing
events that really happened and not in some imaginary world. I like all the super
hero action films out there myself but, God’s word is much more exciting.
The BibleForce Bible is a full illustrated Bible in the form
of a comic book. The illustrations are full colored vivid, eye-catching, and
full of impressivedetails. Just to clear it up this isn’t a complete Bible. It’s
more of a story book Bible that has some of the well know stories that you
learned in church as a kid. The story scriptures aren’t exact but, it does keep
the content of God’s word intact overall. I didn’t see anything that made me
cringe. There are around 200 stories.
This is a heavy duty hardback Bible. The cover feels extra
durable. There are a total of 642 pages. The pages are thick with illustrations
on each and every page. The Bible has a ribbon book mark.
The Bible stories are in chronological order from the Old
and New Testament.
Another impressive feature is the illustrated “An
Introduction to the Bible” page. This goes over some of the history of God’s
word from the Dead Sea Scrolls to the translation of the Bible. It explains how
the word is broken down in law and history, poetry and wisdom, the prophets,
the Gospels, history, letters, and prophecy.
There is a nice timeline of the general topics called “What Happened When?” Next is a two page map spread of the world during the times of the Bible. There is an index of the Bible stories for you to locate the stories. The pages are numbered.

There are sections called “Hero Profile” that give a little
history and background on certain men and women of the Bible.
Another added feature is you can get access to a free app to
download for your tablet, Smartphone with the purchase of the BibleForce Bible.
My 12 year old son thought that the Bible was much better
than another illustrated Bible he has.
This is a nice illustrated Bible. I still recommend this
doesn’t replace reading a full Bible. Take time to read and study God’s word
each day with your kids.
