Organic Matcha Ceremonial Green Tea Powder from Atomic Matcha Review
October 22, 2018
Recently, I’ve been using a Organic Matcha Ceremonial Green Tea Powder from Atomic Matcha. I take my tea pretty serious. I like it a certain way-period-don’t try to convince me to try certain brands. It must be the southern girl in me that has grown up with sweet tea. I also like hot teas and occasionally I’m willing to step out of my comfort zone to try something new.You can order it here: https://www.amz.one/p/b07dglrbdd
Atomic Matcha is 100% organic. It has 45 teaspoon servings in each bag.
Matcha
is a specialty tea grown that has been used in Japan for thousands of year and also
in China. The tea leaves are from the Camellia sinensis plant that has a
unique farming and drying technique. Afterwards it’s leaves are ground into a
fine powder. It is loaded with antioxidants and other beneficial nutrients.
You can also make smoothies, serve hot, as an ice tea,
and latte. You can also bake with it. I also made some Matcha butter to make
some homemade lip balm.
The texture is a fine silky powder.
Sift ½ to 1 teaspoon of Matcha inot a cup and add hot
water (Not boiling water) around 175*. You mix it with a milk frother or a bamboo
whisk unit a smooth froth forms at the top. I didn’t have either item so I just
used a metal whisk. I was able to get it fairly smooth with a few powdered
chunks.
What did I think of my Matcha green tea flavor? At
first I wasn’t so sure and wanted to add a lot of honey to it. I kept drinking
and the taste grew on me some. It’s sort of sweet with a bold flavor. It doesn’t
taste like you’re regular green tea. It reminds me of a vegetable green flavor
that I can’t quite place. I finally decided to add a small amount of honey
because I like a sweeter tea and wanted to try to sweeten it up some. Let’s
just say that Matcha tea worked better for me with the honey. Overall not a bad flavor I just had to get use
to it. I noticed that after drinking the tea before I added my honey it had an
after taste that was somewhat sweet.
My smoothie I tried just almond milk, yogurt, and
matcha powder. I also tried a few other varieties adding more veggies. I really
liked the smoothies much more.
When I made my Match butter I mixed it with a high
power mixer that I use to make my butters. It blended nicely. I love my match
tea lip balm flavor. It’s a mild and refreshing flavor for lip balm.
Organic
Matcha Ceremonial Green Tea Powder from Matcha House-Atomic Matcha is not bad and I plan on keeping it as a regular part of tea stable.
I received a free copy of this product in
exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review
and the thoughts are my own.
