Farm to Fork to Love Movie
Alice, a young and talented sous chef at NY's top restaurant, receives an invitation to judge a food competition for a prestigious annual fundraiser. Despite the dismay of Bret, her boss who is also her boyfriend, she accepts the invitation. Once she arrives in Kansas, Alice is surprised to find her former boyfriend in college, CHRISTIAN is among the judges. The cooking show and her reconnection with Christian will make Alice reconsider her dream.
My Thoughts:
Alice a sous chef in a top-notch New York restaurant is a dream come true for many sous chef. When a chance to judge a food completion at an annual fundraiser, despite her boss/boyfriend doesn’t want her to do it. She doesn’t plan on being a sous chef for the rest of her life and has dreams with her cooking.
During her trip as a judge, she runs into an old boyfriend and some former classmates. Christian reminds her of her dreams that have gotten lost along the way.
The characters are intriguing throughout. An easy-going movie without a lot of drama or surprising plot twists. The story plot was pleasant.
Don’t watch the movie hungry! I enjoyed the cooking and the interaction with the characters.
This is a family-friendly movie that is appropriate for a good family movie night. However, it would probably appeal more as a chic flick. Especially if you like cooking shows.
The movie is around an hour and a half in length.
This movie is available to watch on Netflix, Pureflix if you have a subscription. You can watch it on Tubi for free!
