Hanukkah Day Eight
December 27, 2011
Ephesians 1:13
13 You too heard the word of truth in Christ, which is the good news of your salvation. You were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit because you believed in Christ.
I pray that you all had a Happy Hanukkah. Ours has been a wonderful time with family, friends, and celebrating in our Messianic Synagogue. Thank you Yeshua for this time to remember all those who came before us to have freedom to worship you. Tonight you will light all eight of candles on the Hanukkah Menorah using the servant candle or Shamash candle when the sun goes down. Remember to put the candles in from right to left (like reading Hebrew) and them after you light the Shamash you light the others from left to right.
You recite these two blessing before lighting the candles.
English: Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the universe, who has sanctified us with Your commandments, and has commanded us to kindle the lights of Hanukkah.

Here are a few scriptures ideas to read the 8th night of Hanukkah.
Isaiah 60:19
19 The sun will no longer be your light by day, nor will the moon shine or illumination by night.[a]
The LORD will be your everlasting light; your God will be your glory.
23 The city doesn’t need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s glory is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb.
24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.
5 Night will be no more. They won’t need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will shine on them, and they will rule forever and always.
All scriptures are taken from the Common English Bible
