Ronie Kendig will keep you on the edge of your seat in book one of her new series, Quiet Professionals. His team.
Captain Dean Watters keeps these parts of his life in laser-like focus. So when hackers threaten both his mission and his team, Dean's Special Forces training kicks into high gear. Ten military super-secure computers are missing---which if opened, would give America's enemies a blueprint of US military intelligence. Failing to stop the hackers isn't an option.
Zahrah Zarrick is a missionary teacher to Afghan children in Mazar-e Sharif. She's also a target. Her expertise in quantum cryptology makes her an unwitting pawn in the hackers' deadly game. They're coming for her, and Dean and his team must stop them.
Before the team can get to Zahrah, she disappears. Now Dean must race to rescue her and stop the hackers from unleashing terror on millions across the globe. But to do so, Dean will be forced to crack open the steel box around his heart---a move that might come at the highest cost.
My thoughts:
This is the first book that I have read
by Ronie Kendig. I wasn’t disappointed at my
first book from Ronie Kendig. I found another author to add to my reading list.
I look forward to finding other books that she has written.
The book starts a bit slow setting up the
scene of the rest of the story. Hang onto your seat as this book rapidly turned
into a fast past book, jammed packed with action, and pretty intense to keep
the pages turning quickly. I had a hard time putting the book down. I was
laughing at times, other times tearing up, and then hanging onto my seat other
times. Don’t start Raptor 6 at bedtime!
Captain Dean Watters of the Raptor 6 team
is a man on a mission with a strong character and with lots of integrity. His
family is his team and his life is the military. He is very professional and
takes his job seriously. He is a man that you just like and has a personality
through all of his convictions. Captain Watters endured 6 weeks of captivity
and torture from a ruthless assassin 10 years ago. Captain Watters was left
with lots of physical, emotional scars that made him into the person he is
today.
Zahrah Zarrick is a missionary and wants
to help the Afghan children in need. She also has something that makes her
valuable to the US forces. She has a strong personal relationship with the Lord
and strong convictions.
The end of the novel leaves me thinking
that there is more to come with the Rapture 6 team. I enjoyed this book and
love a book that has so many layers and keeps you glued.
Litfuse Publicity Group has provided me with a
complimentary copy of this book. In no way was I asked to give a positive
review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
