Wisdomantics Game Review and Giveaway
December 15, 2014
Edie is the winner of the Wisdomantics Game. Thank you all who entered.
Wisdomantics utilizes 2 DVDs which contain 400
multiple-choice questions/proverbs. There is a built-in variable timer which
automatically adjusts for 1st, 2nd and final attempt questions. The DVD will
grade your response and King Solomon will quote the proverb when you answer
correctly.
Finally, the DVD will instruct players when to draw a
specialty card which will enable them to navigate the game board.
The game board illustrations chronicle Solomon’s life!
They begin with his most notable acts and achievements and end with a divided
kingdom through disobedience and rebellion. Hear King Solomon quote his wise
biblical truths. The audio-visual element is a huge plus and adds greater depth
to the game. Players may also strategize with specialty cards, which can skip
or detain opponents, recover lost assets, and provide protection from adverse
scenarios. To replicate Solomon’s temple, players receive colored tiles (gold,
cypress and cedar) as they navigate the game board. The first player to
complete their Solomon’s temple scorecard wins! For 2 to 4 players and ages 12
and up.
My Thoughts:
My family loves board games and we get pretty excited
over them. As a mom I get even more excited when the game is Biblical based
game. So I was real excited when I got a chance to review Wisdomantics by
Kingdom Game Enterprises, LLC. At the end of the post you will have an
opportunity to win your own Wisdomantics ($29.99).
What's in the box? You will find 2 interactive DVDs
which, has 400 questions from the Proverbs, score cards, game board, blessing
cards, 4 game pieces, advancement cards, colored tiles in a plastic holder.
You will need access to either a computer or DVD player
when playing the game. This is an interactive game that you will need both the
board game and the DVDS going at the same time.
The game is based of the wisdom of King Solomon and
building the temple. The NKJV is used in the scriptures. As you can see from
the picture of the game board it kinda of reminds me of the Monopoly game
board. The corner of the game is set up like this: Sabbath Start in which you
receive 1 tile of choice every time you pass. The next corner is the Praise
Report in which you receive 6 blessings cards. Then the dreaded Detention
Chambers in which you lose 1 turn. The last corner is Petition A Prayer Request
and you get 2 gold tiles.
The places in between the corners are color coded to
match the colored tiles which are to represent items needed to build the temple
gold, cypress, and cedar with various pictures of King Solomon and the
temple.
The goal when traveling the board is to collect the
colored tiles and be the first one to build the temple. You receive tiles by
answering or filling in the blanks on scriptures based off of the Proverbs. The
questions are multiply choice. You are timed with each question (this is where
the DVDs come into play) When you answer the questions King Solomon hands go up
into a praise and the DVD instructs you of your reward.
I think that younger children can play this game without
any issues. I played this with my 12 and 9 year old. My daughter has special
needs and was able to pick it up quickly.
My final thoughts about Wisdomantics Game. This is a
family friendly game that is based off scripture and somewhat easy to play if
you understand all aspects of the game. I kept expecting more of the game. The
multiply choice in the game and just filling in the blanks got a bit bland to
me. My kids loved it and have played it several times themselves. My daughter
would also write down some of the Proverbs to look up for herself later. That made
me real happy as a mom. I would of loved a bit more of Bible Trivia in the
Proverbs or for it to get a bit harder or a least an option to go more advanced
with the DVDs. I got a bit confused with how to us the blessing cards but we
made it work.
All in all not a bad game as my family did enjoy playing
Wisdomantics a lot. My kids would give the game an A+. I would give it a B- as
I think it lacks the potential to be a great game for it being just filling in
the blanks with the Proverbs. My family will be playing Wisdomantics many times
in the future.
This would make a great family night game or for a youth
group game night.

I have to choose just one? :) I would say Proverbs 3:5-6. I have gone to that set of verses many times in my life through tough situations. It helps remind me that He is in control!! THanks for hosting this giveaway and the game looks awesome ;)
ReplyDeleteLots of favorites....But I especially love Proverbs 16:9. A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps." God used this very clearly and directly years ago when Jeff was courting me. It's been very precious ever since!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome game!
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
ReplyDeleteand knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
My kids love games like these!
