Courageous Love by Susan K. Marlow Book Review
March 06, 2017
Andrea Carter is
finally pulling her own weight on the Circle C Ranch she loves. The only thing
she loves more than helping to run the ranch is spending time racing and
stunt-riding on her horse Shasta, with the help of wrangler Riley Prescott.
Little does she know that when she and Riley stumble onto a mysterious cut in
the fence around her brother's prize calves, life is about to get far more
exciting--and dangerous.
A cryptic warning
tied around a brick crashes through the window at a family party. Then cattle
begin to die. When the horse barn catches fire, Andi knows this is more than
just coincidence. But who is trying to hurt her family--and why? Evidence
begins to point to criminals from her brother Justin's past who want revenge.
But that discovery may be too late to keep Andi and her brother's family out of
danger.
Now Riley is her only
hope of rescue. Can he find her before she disappears from the Circle C
forever? Can she keep everyone else safe until then?
The fourth volume in the Circle C Milestones quartet, Courageous
Love is high on action, danger, and drama, and full of appealing characters
readers love. Andi's final adventure, sparked with a little romance, is sure to
please Marlow's legions of loyal readers who want a happy ending for this
frontier heroine.
Many
years ago my daughter came across Susan K. Marlow’s books at the TPA Homeschool
Convention. She was attracted to the plastic horses and then her eyes went wide
when she seen the picture of a horse and a girl her age on the book cover. She
was sure then that she would love all the books. We have read every book in all
of the series and she would happily tell you that she loves them all. If you’re
wondering about more of the books you can see that there are several series for
all ages.
This is the 4 th and final book in the Circle
C Milestones series. My daughter and I were sad to see it come to an end. We were
not disappointed in the story plot. My daughter had two of her favorite
characters Riley and Andi together again. We both have hoped to see these two
take their friendship to the next level. We love that there is action,
suspense, Godly characters, and it can be funny at times.
I love that lessons are learned and prayers are
lifted up in all aspects of life both the good and the bad in the story. The family
ties are close and they just tug at your heart.
Susan
K. Marlow makes all the characters realistic and down to
earth. Then you have Shasta and the other horses. My daughter was sad over the
lost of Taffy and wasn’t very happy about that in the last book. Shasta has won her heart in this story.
I’m not going to give away any spoilers so you
are going to have to read the book for yourself.
As always I
love the Godly characters that Susan K. Marlow presents in her books. Seeing
Andi growing up with in the pages of these books has been delightful.
Currently we are reading the newest series
Circle C Stepping Stones and I can’t wait to share about them.
I highly
recommend this fantastic story. My daughter gives her approval also.
