Cats in Paris by Won-Sun Jang Book Review
January 25, 2016
This gorgeously illustrated adult coloring book
draws readers into the secret world of cats in Paris as they explore the city's
most famous (and feline-friendly) spots.
Say bonjour to the cats of Paris as they slink through its fabled streets and alleyways, from Montmartre to the Shakespeare and Company bookshop and into a feline-filled land of playful imagination. Featuring intricate pen-and-ink drawings of tabbies, Persians, Siamese, and more, this evocative coloring book’s frisky kitties lie in wait for your colorful stylings.

My
Thoughts:
Who says
kids are the only one who enjoy coloring! I just don’t like the themes of the
kids coloring books. Then of course, I’m a bit crazy about cats. What girl
doesn’t dream of visiting Paris!
This
book is around 10“x 10”. It has a nice size and shape for coloring pages. The
pages are a nice quality and thick for all medians of coloring. My pages didn’t
bleed through with a marker or water color crayons.
The
pictures are delightful. Some of the designs are on one page. Other pages are
set up in a two-page layout. The designs are unique in that some pages are
super busy with lots of details. While some of the designs have a lot of open
blank space on the page.
Not
every page has Paris scenery on it. I would say less than a dozen pages. The
majority is of cats doing what cats do.
One
thing that I didn’t like about this book is that the pages are not perforated
and that some of the scenery goes into the book the book binding. Since the
book doesn’t lay out flat it is hard to get to some places to color.
Overall,
this was a fun and adorable coloring book that I have really enjoyed. I enjoyed
all the different cat breeds in this book.
This
would make a purr-fect gift for a cat lover.
